My Day in Medellín
“I only had a day in Medellín and booked the one-day ride. It was the best decision — incredible off-road trails, cloud forests, and views I’ll never forget. Everything was perfectly organized, bike and gear ready to go.”
— Mark Reynolds, USA

1-Day Top-of-the-World Day Trip
Day-By-Day Itinerary
1. Hotel Pickup & Departure
Your day begins with a private taxi pickup (not included) at 8:00 AM from your Medellín hotel. You’ll be taken to our office where your motorcycle, gear, and guide will be ready. By 9:00 AM, we leave the city and ride into the quiet hills north of Medellín as traffic fades and open landscapes appear.
2. Santa Fe de Antioquia & Historic Bridge
Ride down to the warm lowlands and visit Santa Fe de Antioquia, one of the region’s oldest colonial towns with whitewashed buildings and cobblestone streets. Just outside town we cross the Puente Colgante de Occidente, a famous 19th-century suspension bridge over the Cauca River before climbing back into the mountains.
3. Climb to the “Top of the World”
The road climbs from 500 m to over 2,800 m through cloud forest. Pavement gives way to gravel switchbacksand ridgelines with sweeping views. Coffee farms line the hillsides before we stop at a dramatic lookout over the Cauca Valley.
We’ll stop at Horizontes – Balcón del Occidente, a spectacular viewpoint with sweeping panoramic views across the mountains of Antioquia. It’s the perfect place to take in the scenery and capture a few epic photos.
4. Lunch in a Highland Village
We stop in a small mountain village for a traditional Colombian lunch—grilled meats, rice, beans, plantains, fresh juice, and strong coffee. Meals are not included but are affordable ($7–10 USD).
5. San Pedro de los Milagros
Visit the highland town of San Pedro de los Milagros and its impressive Basílica del Señor de los Milagros, an important pilgrimage church. A great place to stretch your legs and experience small-town Antioquia.
6. Return to Medellín
In the afternoon we ride paved roads back to our office, arriving around 5:00 PM, followed by a taxi ride back to your hotel.
