⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5-Star Review –

“An Unforgettable Ride Through Colombia”
"My wife and I joined the 7-Day Perfect Loop Coffee Region Tour for our first trip to South America, and it exceeded every expectation. Jeff and his team were outstanding—friendly, professional, and incredibly organized.

The route was stunning and full of variety, the Honda XRE300 was in perfect condition, and riding two-up was smooth and easy. From start to finish, it was a beautiful, challenging, and unforgettable experience. If you’re thinking about a motorcycle adventure in Colombia—book with Jeff. You won’t be disappointed."
— Steve Howard, USA

IS COLOMBIA SAFE?

Absolutely. Colombia today is nothing like the old Netflix stereotypes. Pablo Escobar died over 30 years ago, and the country has transformed. We've led hundreds of tours without a single safety issue.

Anthony Bourdain summed it up perfectly:

"If you want to find bad people in Colombia, you can surely find them, as you could in New York or Los Angeles. But nowhere have my crew and I been treated better or with more kindness and generosity. I'd bring my family on vacation there in a heartbeat. And hope to soon. As I said before: Colombians are proud. Let them show you what they are proud of."

Stay, Eat & Park

After breakfast in Sonsón, begin your day riding over a stunning 10,000 ft mountain pass — one of the highest points of the trip. If the skies are clear, you’ll be rewarded with unforgettable views of the sweeping valley below. From here, the road winds down in a series of smooth curves toward the small cowboy town of Nariño, Antioquia.

Nariño is the kind of place most travelers never see — where donkeys and mules still deliver sacks of coffee beans from remote farms, and Willys Jeeps are used to haul goods across the rugged hills. Keep an eye out for curved-roof greenhouses where beans are slowly dried, and even locals sun-drying their coffee right on the road in front of their homes. This is rural Colombia in its purest form.

From Nariño, the pavement ends, and the off-road adventure begins. Follow an unpaved track deeper into the forest until you reach Termales Espíritu Santo, a hidden hotel and hot springs nestled beside a river in the jungle. It’s the perfect mid-day stop — a peaceful oasis where you can enjoy a hearty Colombian lunch while surrounded by nature and steaming thermal pools.

Back on the bikes, cross a white-water river that marks the boundary between Antioquia and Caldas. From here, the route climbs once more, this time through dense pine plantations and into cloud forest terrain. You’ll pass more remote coffee farms perched on near-vertical hillsides, framed by jaw-dropping views of the Central Andes.

As the afternoon sun slants through the trees, descend into the remote town of Pensilvania, a colonial gem still untouched by tourism. Pensilvania feels like stepping back in time — with cowboy hats, chiva buses, and antique Willys rumbling through the cobblestone streets. The town is surrounded by steep mountains and some of Colombia’s best coffee farms.

Enjoy a well-earned rest at Colina Plaza Hotel, a simple hotel known as the best hotel in town, and head out for dinner or a relaxing walk through the central plaza. This is the kind of day our riders say they’ll remember forever — authentic, scenic, and filled with the kind of real-life moments you can’t plan for.

The road descends gradually into the warm, wide Cauca River Valley—a spectacular transition from alpine cool to subtropical heat. This is one of the most beautiful sections of paved riding on your Colombia motorcycle trip.

The Cauca River is more than a pretty backdrop. It flows over 800 miles from the high Andes to the Caribbean coast, fueling Colombia’s economy and ecosystems. As you ride alongside its banks, you’ll pass through gold mining zones, sugarcane fields, and rural communities that depend on the river’s life-giving power. You'll even catch a glimpse of Hidroituango, Colombia’s largest hydroelectric project, a modern symbol of the nation’s progress and growing energy infrastructure.

Crossing the Cauca, the road begins to climb again—this time through dense green hills on the outskirts of Medellín. These mountain curves are a favorite for riders: smooth pavement, light traffic, and epic views of the Aburrá Valleybelow. It’s the perfect final stretch to reflect on everything you’ve conquered.

From volcanoes and cloud forests to hot springs and pueblos, your 5-day motorcycle adventure in Colombia has taken you far off the beaten path.
